Welcome !

This is the page for all English-reading bicycle-tour-web-surfer.

We are Sophie (7), Jakob (now 2 year old), Bettina and Rainer from Germany. We enjoy family bicycle tours in several countries like Norway (Fjordland, Lofoten), England, USA, Sweden, Spain , Finland, Germany and other countries, which we visited before Sophie joined our company. We want to encourage all families, who may still hesitate to go on bicycle tour with their children.

First: all is possible, if you take the time and don´t push the children. They will thank you, maybe not right away, but maybe if they are 38 of age.

Good equipment is advantageous, but not definitively. You will find out yourself. Read the hints if you want.

To take children along is not a problem anymore. There are trailers, trailer-bikes, tandems and if they are able to go 25 miles buy them a very good bicycle.

We believe, it´s the best way of travelling with children and healthy for yourself. A Sheraton night is a thousend times less exiting compared with a night in Andenes (Norway), sitting in front of your tent , whalewatching, looking to the sun, which never falls below the horizon during the summer mounth. Show the kiddies the world. It´s slow enough to understand

In the summer of 1999 on June, 15th we started from Boston, US. We were going to cycle along Cape Cod and then we were going to carry on along the Eastcoast to Halifax to hade afterwards 3 more days on Iceland. That time, if you wanted to follow us, you could open the latest tour page and had a look what was happening.

Last Summer 2002 on July the 22h we started from Stockholm to Stockholm via the eastern coastline of the Baltic Sea. About 300 miles of Stockholm we took the ferry for Vaasa (Finnland). Than we cycled southbound to the Aland island and than back to Stockholm.

Below you will find the report about the routing we´ve made in summer 1999 in USA, Canada and on Iceland. It´s at this time the onliest report in English.

Our messages from USA/Canada you can find here (in English).
