Finding out a ferry from Europe
to Grait Britain is a
hard work - again. The ferry from Oostende to Ramstade don't take any
bicycles. We have not realy a good solution for our transfer. So our plan to
cycle is cancelled. |

! It´s done. We will fly. Again to London-Stanstad for 116 Euro. The
extracharge for jet fuel of 75 Euro is already inclouded. 
And
we take 4 bikes with for an extra charge of 100€. |

After thinking about we booked today a familyroom in the Holiday Inn Docklands for 4 nights and 550 €. There may be we have a chance for a garage. | www.booking.com | |
| 20.12.09 | Sometimes there is a chance to find a more attractive route via Google map. We found out that Wales and Irland could be very hilly for cycling an unicycle. So we decided to change the route as follow: London , Guernsey, Jersey, Normandie , Lille, Brüssel, Düsseldorf. Even also the Normandie is not realy flat, we would expect better weather for our tour. We do hope. | ||

We know it by experience: fast we're getting closer to the date of our traveldeparture and there we forgot thinks to prepare. It could be to late. That's why we booked the bikes for the flight today. 1 Pino, 1 Trekkingbike, 1 childrens bike 1 unicycle 28". The trailer we will prepare in that way, that we will be able to carry the unicycle in spezial cases on it. It's a mess. Condor ferries would'nt take bicycle with. So you can't select any bikes in the prebooking form. You might select any Bentleys or any kind of cars, but no bikes. These are spezial vehicles, for special price and there is no garantee to carry on. So we cancel the Canal Islands. May be next time or never. Brittanyferries will take bikes and so we will depart Portsmouth for St. Malo on 26.07.2010 at 20.30 for 384 Euro. The route suits well and now we are able to visit the very touristic attraction of Mount St. Michel. |

Sophie has stil to get training for the unicycle, although she's got two - three times training in unicycling hockey. But is at enough for the tour? That`s why we made a trinings round of 10 km with about 6 % steeps in the hilly forest nearby today. During this she was quit fast. we think she will manage the tour. |

Still 8 weeks until our departure. Meanwhile it was happen so many thinks and the vulcano on Iceland was so activ that the airtraffic was affected and closed for days several times. We hope it will not affected our flight. The trailer for the unicycle behind the Pino is prepared. The unicycle wil get else a relight-inductionslight, a foldeable lock and a aramid tire made by Spezialized. Beforeyesterday we could change a demaged Term-a-rest mat by a new one. Now it starts the warm phase of the preparation. |
